Bodega Calle
Dharma Orange 2023
A skin-fermented white from one organically farmed vineyard in Tupungato, Uco Valley, with grapes going into tank by gravity. It stays on its skins for about eight months, then ages in concrete eggs, with native yeasts, no fining or filtering and very low sulfur; it is vegan. The color is amber-orange, with melon, honey and citrus notes, a broad palate and a dry, gently tannic finish.

About the producer
Bodega Calle
Bodega Calle occupies a 1925 winery built by Claudio Erice in Mayor Drummond, Luján de Cuyo, restored in 2001 by notary and newspaper chair Elvira Calle together with Kirk (Christopher) Ermisch, who now owns and runs it. Wines are made by gravity without pumping, fermented with native yeasts in small concrete vats (the Dharma wines in concrete eggs) and aged in the underground cellar. Grapes come from old vineyards in Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley farmed without herbicides or pesticides; the importer describes the winery as certified organic.
