Château de Grandchamp
Montagne-Saint-Émilion 2022
A Merlot-led Right Bank red from hand-farmed, densely planted clay-limestone vines on the Parsac hillside, farmed organically. Fermented in small temperature-controlled concrete tanks and aged to keep the fruit forward, it is aromatic and balanced with soft tannins. The label carving comes from an 18th-century tower in the vineyard.

About the producer
Château de Grandchamp
Château de Grandchamp is the only estate on the hillside above the old village of Parsac in Montagne-Saint-Émilion, on Bordeaux's Right Bank. Gonzague Maurice bought it in 2005 and farms about 10 hectares of densely planted Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon on clay-limestone by hand; the vineyard has been farmed organically since 2010, though the estate dropped formal certification.
