Ghiomo
Nebbiolo d'Alba Superiore 'Sansteu' 2019
Sansteu is Ghiomo's top Nebbiolo d'Alba, from the Sansteu and Fusot vineyards on south-east-facing marly slopes in Guarene. The grapes are picked slightly overripe and get a cold soak and a long maceration, with spontaneous malolactic, then 12 months in oak casks and at least six in bottle. Deep ruby, fresh and fruity on the nose, full-bodied and structured with a light oak touch; built for long aging.

About the producer
Ghiomo
Ghiomo is Giuseppino Anfossi's small estate in Guarene, in the Roero hills just outside Alba. Anfossi works only native varieties such as Arneis, Nebbiolo and Barbera, farms by traditional methods, and aims for wines that change with each vintage and speak clearly of the land.
