Monchiero
Barolo 'Montanello' 2017
From Monchiero's holding in the Montanello cru in Castiglione Falletto, which faces south-east; the family restarted bottling from this vineyard in 2010. It is an intense, full-bodied yet elegant Barolo that can be enjoyed young but gains depth and complexity with cellaring.

About the producer
Monchiero
Monchiero Fratelli is a family winery in Castiglione Falletto, in the heart of the Barolo zone. Brothers Remo and Maggiorino Monchiero started in the 1950s by selling grapes, began bottling in the 1970s, and today Vittorio Monchiero runs the estate with his wife Daniela and sons Luca and Stefano. Their Nebbiolo crus lie in Castiglione Falletto and La Morra and were replanted from the 1990s on.
