Vin Santo del Chianti 2015
A traditional Vin Santo from mid-slope Chianti vineyards near Siena. Hand-picked Malvasia and Trebbiano dry on cane mats for about 60 days in airy rooms, then ferment and age at least three years in small caratelli casks in the vinsantaia. Deep amber, with an ethereal nose of almond, and a dense palate of raisin, almond and dried apricot kept lively by good acidity. Serve with cantucci or dry pastries.

About the producer
Tenuta di Trecciano
An estate at Sovicille, near Siena, in the Montagnola Senese hills of the Chianti Colli Senesi zone. It makes Sangiovese-based Chianti aged in Slavonian oak, Super Tuscans from Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah in French barriques, Vermentino, Vin Santo and olive oil, and welcomes visitors for tastings.
