Valentina Cubi
Amarone della Valpolicella Classico "Morar" 2015
Valentina Cubi's signature Amarone, from organically farmed estate vineyards in Fumane. The best parts of each bunch are hand-picked and dried in the fruttaio, then pressed in January and fermented in temperature-controlled conical vats with daily punch-downs. It ages in large wood before more time in bottle. Deep ruby with garnet glints, it shows ripe cherry, red fruit and vanilla, with soft, elegant tannins despite its high alcohol.

About the producer
Valentina Cubi
A small organic family estate in Fumane, in Valpolicella Classico, founded when Valentina and Giancarlo invested in 1969. It has about 10 hectares on south- and southeast-facing slopes at 290-350 m, including the Monte Tenda, Monte Crosetta and Rasso sites, farmed organically at Valentina's insistence. Morar is the estate's signature Amarone.
