Bodega Bouza
Bouza Albariño 2025
Planted from cuttings taken from Bouza family relatives' vineyards in Rías Baixas, this Albariño comes from the cooler, more sheltered blocks of the Melilla (Montevideo) and Las Violetas (Canelones) estate vineyards. About 90% ferments in stainless steel and 10% in French oak, and the wine rests four months on its lees before bottling unfined and unfiltered. Peach, white flowers, pineapple and pear lead to a balanced, long finish.

About the producer
Bodega Bouza
Juan and Elisa Bouza founded Bodega Bouza in 2000 by restoring a winery first built in 1942 on the outskirts of Montevideo, Uruguay. Grapes come from the family's own estate vineyards in Montevideo (Melilla, around the winery), Canelones (Las Violetas) and Maldonado (Pan de Azúcar), with each small parcel vinified separately. Best known for Tannat, Bouza was also among the first in Uruguay to plant Albariño.
