Château Gaudrelle

Vouvray 'Clos le Vigneau' 2025

A single-vineyard Vouvray from the Clos le Vigneau, a prime parcel between the Clos de Bourg and the town of Vouvray, farmed organically and biodynamically and plowed by horse. The hand-picked Chenin Blanc is fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts and aged on fine lees. It is made in a 'sec tendre' (off-dry) style, with notes of honey, apricot and earth.

About the producer

Château Gaudrelle

Vouvray estate just outside Tours, with troglodyte cellars cut into the limestone slope. It farms about 16 hectares of Chenin Blanc, certified organic and biodynamic (Demeter), harvests by hand and uses a horse to work the Clos le Vigneau. The Monmousseau family ran Gaudrelle for decades; the Pasquier family (Eric and Emile) owns it today.
