Les Gentilhommes
Viré-Clessé 2024
A single-vineyard Chardonnay from 45-year-old vines in the village of Clessé, in the Viré-Clessé appellation, created in 1998. It is aged 10 months on fine lees, mostly in stainless steel with a portion in new French oak. Pear and white-peach aromas lead to a fresh, full palate with tension and a subtle touch of wood.

About the producer
Les Gentilhommes
Les Gentilhommes is a range of single-vineyard Mâconnais Chardonnays from the Martin family. Maurice Martin founded the family domaine (Domaine de la Croix Senaillet in Davayé); sources date it to 1969 or 1974. His sons Richard and Stéphane run it today, and the Gentilhommes wines are listed as organic.
