Marramiero
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo Riserva "Inferi" 2020
Marramiero's flagship Riserva, first made in 1993, from deep, rich, clay-leaning soils. It ferments in Ganimede tanks with a long maceration and ages about 40 months in all, moving from steel to barriques and then at least six months in bottle. Dense ruby, with ripe plum and sour cherry over tobacco, vanilla and licorice; the palate is velvety and powerful, with elegant tannins and a long, spicy finish.
