Grignolino d'Asti 'Grignè' 2024
Grigne is Montalbera's Grignolino from Castagnole Monferrato and Montemagno, fermented as a traditional red and matured only in stainless steel. Pale ruby that turns orange-tinged with bottle age, it is floral and delicate, with marasca cherry, small berries and a hint of Asian spice, and a dry, balanced palate with a light bitter twist.

About the producer
Montalbera
Montalbera was founded in the early 20th century around Grana, Castagnole Monferrato and Montemagno and is owned by the Morando family. Its 115 hectares straddle the Monferrato and the Langhe, with all vineyard work done by hand, and the family owns roughly 60% of the entire Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG, the native grape it has long championed.
