La Tradizione is Montalbera's classic Ruchè, the aromatic native red of Castagnole Monferrato, aged only in stainless steel. Bright red with purple tints when young, it opens with rose petals and violets that turn spicier over time, on a warm, balanced, medium-full palate with light tannins.

About the producer
Montalbera
Montalbera was founded in the early 20th century around Grana, Castagnole Monferrato and Montemagno and is owned by the Morando family. Its 115 hectares straddle the Monferrato and the Langhe, with all vineyard work done by hand, and the family owns roughly 60% of the entire Ruchè di Castagnole Monferrato DOCG, the native grape it has long championed.
