Thorn-Clarke

Terra Barossa Shiraz 2024

Thorn-Clarke's Terra Barossa Shiraz comes from the family's St Kitts, Milton Park and Kabininge vineyards in the Barossa Valley. Earlier releases aged about 12 months in French oak. It typically shows lifted plum and black cherry fruit with pepper, licorice and spice, a plush medium-to-full body and soft tannins.

About the producer

Thorn-Clarke

Thorn-Clarke is a family-owned Barossa winery in Angaston, South Australia, run by the Clarke and Thorn families, whose Barossa roots go back to the 1870s. David and Cheryl Clarke bought their first vineyard near Tanunda in 1987 and sold fruit to other wineries for a decade before making their own Shiraz from the 1998 vintage. The family farms around 240 hectares across the Barossa and Eden valleys and also produces the Milton Park range.
