Alain Jaume
Lirac 'Domaine du Clos de Sixte' 2020
From the family's organic estate in Lirac, directly across the Rhône from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on the same Miocene molasse and galet soils. Hand-sorted, destemmed and fermented with pigeage for 18 days, then aged in concrete and French oak, it is inky and full, with kirsch, wild blackberry and blackcurrant liqueur, polished tannins and a licorice-vanilla finish.

About the producer
Alain Jaume
Vignobles Alain Jaume is the Jaume family's house in Orange, combining their organic estates (Domaine Grand Veneur in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine du Clos de Sixte in Lirac, Château Mazane in Vacqueyras) with a range of négociant wines from across the Rhône, including Tavel. The family has grown grapes in Châteauneuf-du-Pape since 1826 and is now led by Alain Jaume and his sons Sébastien and Christophe.
