Alain Jaume
Vacqueyras 'Château Mazane' 2022
From Château Mazane, a single 11-hectare block of 50-year-old vines on the garrigue plateau between the Ouvèze terraces and the Dentelles de Montmirail, on pebbly clay. Aged 70% in tank and 30% in oak, it is deep and intense, with fresh black fruit and grilled herbs, rich but smooth tannins and a long spice-and-licorice finish.

About the producer
Alain Jaume
Vignobles Alain Jaume is the Jaume family's house in Orange, combining their organic estates (Domaine Grand Veneur in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine du Clos de Sixte in Lirac, Château Mazane in Vacqueyras) with a range of négociant wines from across the Rhône, including Tavel. The family has grown grapes in Châteauneuf-du-Pape since 1826 and is now led by Alain Jaume and his sons Sébastien and Christophe.
