Alain Jaume
Tavel 'Le Crétacé' 2025
A deeply colored Tavel made by the saignée (bleed) method from fully destemmed fruit, with 24 hours of cold maceration, fermentation at 18°C and no malolactic. Vines grow on hillside and plateau sites of sand and clay with pebbles; the wine shows crushed strawberry and rose petal and has the structure to stand up to spicy dishes and grilled fish.

About the producer
Alain Jaume
Vignobles Alain Jaume is the Jaume family's house in Orange, combining their organic estates (Domaine Grand Veneur in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine du Clos de Sixte in Lirac, Château Mazane in Vacqueyras) with a range of négociant wines from across the Rhône, including Tavel. The family has grown grapes in Châteauneuf-du-Pape since 1826 and is now led by Alain Jaume and his sons Sébastien and Christophe.
