Matías Riccitelli
Kung Fu Malbec 2025
Part of Riccitelli's minimal-intervention Kung Fu line: Malbec from agroecologically farmed Gualtallary vineyards at 1,400 m on calcareous soils, hand-picked into small boxes. Half whole-cluster, half destemmed, it ferments with native yeasts in small concrete eggs, ages there for eight months, and is bottled unfined, unfiltered and with no added sulfites. Dense black cherry and plum with pepper, herbs and chalky tannins.

About the producer
Matías Riccitelli
Matías Riccitelli, born in Cafayate (Salta) and son of veteran winemaker Jorge Riccitelli, worked harvests around the world and served as head winemaker at Fabre Montmayou and Norton before founding his own winery in 2009. The bodega is in Las Compuertas, the highest part of Luján de Cuyo, with old ungrafted Malbec there plus mountain vineyards in Gualtallary, Los Chacayes and San Pablo in the Uco Valley, and a Río Negro project in Patagonia since 2015. Fruit is hand-picked, farmed without herbicides, and fermented with native yeasts.
