Domaine Grand Veneur
Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 'Le Miocène' 2023
A white Châteauneuf from the north-facing, well-aired La Fontaine sector of clay-sand and limestone, where Clairette and Roussanne ripen without losing freshness. Whole-bunch pressed and fermented cool (15°C) in steel, it opens with white flowers and honeysuckle and balances liveliness and roundness, with dried apricot, honey and elderflower.

About the producer
Domaine Grand Veneur
Domaine Grand Veneur is the Jaume family's flagship estate, founded in 1979 by Alain and Odile Jaume in the northern sector of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with cellars just outside Orange. The family has grown grapes here since 1826, and the vineyards are farmed organically: shallow ploughing, plant composts, hand leaf-thinning and bunch-by-bunch sorting.
